It's always best to schedule your appointment ahead of time so that you can plan your visit. Transportation, paperwork, medicines etc. However sometimes issues, concerns or emergencies do arise and LRCHC has the following policy & procedure.

Any Elective Procedure
Minor Upper Respiratory Infection
Well Child Exams
Well Woman Exams
Non-Urgent Patient Walk-in Types:
Urinary Tract Infection
High Blood Pressure
Diabetes patient that is out of medications or not under care
Severe Sore Throat or Cough
Minor Trauma (Sprains, Strains)
Urgent Patient Walk-in Types:
Acute Chest Pain
Shortness of Breath
Trauma (Burns, Lacerations, Bleeding, Broken Bones)
Foreign Bodies in the Eyes
Trauma to the Eyes
Acute Abdominal Pain
Fever in any baby less than six weeks old
Temperature > 101 in an infant younger than 1 year old for at least 24 hours
Temperature > 103 for any age for at least 48 hours
Insect Systemic Reaction
OB Patients with Active Bleeding
OB Patients with Trauma to Abdomen
OB Patients with cramping, spotting, vomiting or fall
Emergent Patient Walk-in Types:
Emergent – If a patient shows up at the front desk with any of the emergent complaints, the nurse will be contacted immediately to evaluate the situation. The nurse will evaluate the situation and determine if the patient needs to be immediately seen by a provider or if the patient can be under the urgent patient protocol.
Urgent – If a patient shows up at the front desk with any of the urgent complaints, the patient will be given the next available appointment in the schedule for the day. If there are no open appointments for the day the patient will be given the opportunity to wait for a no-show or cancelation in the schedule.
Non-Urgent – If a patient shows up at the front desk with any of the non-urgent complaints, the patient will be given the next available appointment or given the opportunity to wait for a no-show or cancelation in the schedule.
Walk-ins may be of three types, Emergent, Urgent and Non-Urgent:
To provide medical care to all patients in need.
To provide a protocol for those patients who present to our clinic without an appointment.
Walk-ins: Patients who present to the Health Centers without an appointment, requesting medical attention.
