BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

Lake Roosevelt Community Health Centers is here to provide high quality healthcare services to meet the needs of our communities. We know that everyone is different and there are many paths to healing and recovery. We are eager to introduce our team of behavioral health providers that are here to help you connect with your own healing path. Our behavioral health services include care management support, counseling, and psychiatric medication consultation in collaboration with your primary medical provider. We also offer referral and connection to other community resources that may be helpful on your journey of well-being. If you are interested or have any questions, please talk with your medical provider about a referral to our services.

Behavioral Health Specialist

Ben has been a member of LRCHC’s team since May of 2018; assuming the role of   Behavioral Health Manager in January of 2019. He is a WA State Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a WA State Certified Substance Use Disorder Professional that brings with him twenty-five years of experience within the behavioral health field. Ben’s experience includes serving as a behavioral health program manager for The Colville Confederated Tribes Behavioral Health Program, Columbia Valley Community Health, and The Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment. He has also served as a clinical supervisor for The Colville Confederated Tribes, Wahkiakum County Health and Human Services, and Okanogan Behavioral HealthCare Chemical Dependency Services. Throughout his career, Ben has served as a direct service provider for Okanogan County Counseling Services/Okanogan Behavioral HealthCare, Wahkiakum County Health and Human Services, The Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment, Columbia Valley Community Health, and The Colville Confederated Tribes.

Behavioral Health Manager

Shad is a member of the Colville Confederated Tribes and his goal throughout his career has been working with Tribal communities to develop programs and systems that improve the overall mental, emotional, and spiritual health of those they serve. Shad has spent the past 14 years working within behavioral health, with a particular focus on serving Tribal communities. He earned his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Simmons University, specializing in Clinical Social Work. After graduating, Shad continued his career working with the Spokane Tribe, where he gained valuable experience in understanding the cultural, historical, and social factors that influence mental health in Native communities. * Throughout his career, Shad has developed and implemented various programs aimed at improving mental health services in rural and underserved areas. His work has focused on enhancing access to care, addressing substance abuse and misuse, and creating culturally relevant counseling services for individuals and families. With a strong passion for holistic care, Shad is dedicated to delivering services that resonate with the unique needs of each community he serves.

Johanna Miller  
MSW., LSWAIC
Behavioral Health Specialist

In 2021 Johanna graduated Honors from Tarleton State University
with a Master degree in Social Work, and began working 
for the Colville Confederated Tribes Behavioral Health
Program (CCT BHP) as a Mental Health Professional. 
Throughout my time with CCT BHP I worked with the 
Inchelium School District providing school-based groups 
for youth 11 – 18 years of age. I also provided counseling 
services to individuals 11 to 60 years of age. I had the honor 
of working with the Inchelium Boys and Girls Club (BGC) 
during the 2022 summer months providing biopsychosocial
support to staff and BGC members. August 29th 2022 I 
accepted the position of Behavioral Health Specialist with 
Lake Roosevelt Community Health Centers.
